Hello World

After the era of flea markets, cassette tapes, and 8-bit computers, a time of real change arrived. Developers who had once created games for a small circle of enthusiasts now had to face the expectations of the international market.

In 1992, the world heard for the first time about a Polish game released on the global market.

Electro Body, published by Epic MegaGames as Electro Man, became the first Polish game to receive an official worldwide release. Its creators were Janusz Pelc and Maciej Miąsik.

At the same time, Metropolis Software was founded in Wrocław by Grzegorz Miechowski and Adrian Chmielarz – the creators of The Prince and the Coward and Gorky 17.

This was the moment when Polish game development truly entered the global stage.
