What if we made the best game in the world?

That was the question asked by Michał Kiciński and Marcin Iwiński – the founders of CD Projekt. They began by introducing rich, fully localized editions of Western games to the Polish market. Over time, they decided to take the next step.

In 2002, CD Projekt RED was established. The studio reached for the work of Andrzej Sapkowski and created its own vision of The Witcher.

In 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt took the world by storm. The game won over 200 awards and, for millions of players, became one of the greatest games in history, setting new global standards for the RPG genre.

The success of The Witcher built not only a global brand, but also a large, stable company that would go on to become a talent forge for the entire Polish game industry.

And the dream that once sounded naïve – turned out to be possible.
