Mission / Mission Shark

One of the most iconic Polish games of the late 1980s and early 1990s, created and published by LK Avalon for the Atari 8-bit platform. Misja became a true classic of its time - a fast-paced and suspenseful action game that perfectly captured the spirit of late-80s pop culture, inspired by the adrenaline-charged atmosphere of VHS-era action films.
Players assume the role of a secret agent infiltrating an enemy base to recover uranium-233 and escape from a labyrinth filled with traps, lasers, and missiles. Combining action with puzzle-solving elements, the game stood out for its intensity, clever design, and rich variety of challenges.
Misja also reached audiences beyond Poland. Released internationally under the title Mission Shark, it was brought to Western markets through a partnership with the British publisher Zeppelin Games. The blend of Polish creativity and Western distribution made it one of the first Polish games to achieve true international recognition.
